From May 17^th through 25^th, Chair of the Slavic Department Prof. Yana Hashamova taught a course on the cultural representation of minorities in Russian film for the Research Center of Russian Studies at Beijing Normal University. Over the course of her week in China, Prof. Hashamova gave 18 lectures at the undergraduate and graduate level.

It is likely that this visit will develop into a long-term institutional collaboration between the Research Center of Russian Studies at Beijing Normal University and the Center for Slavic and East European Studies at Ohio State.
