Aleksandra Shubina and Sofia Bachman have each been awarded an Arts and Humanities Small Grants to present their work at the annual American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL) conference in February 2022. Sasha will present her conference paper “Agnieszka, The Daughter: Daughterhood and Fatherhood in Andrzej Wajda’s Man of Marble,” while Sofia will present her research on LGBTQ activism in Polish music videos.
