Ray Alston successfully defended his dissertation “Singing the Myths of the Nation: Historical Themes in Russian Nineteenth-Century Opera” earlier this month. His exam committee, Dr. Alexander Burry (advisor), Dr. Helena Goscilo, Dr. Angela Brintlinger, and Dr. Jon Linford (Brigham Young University - Idaho), and all of us in the Slavic Department congratulate Ray and wish him the best in all his future endeavors!
