Congratulations to Kate White and Anastasia Kostetskaya!

Congratulations to DSEELC graduate students Kate White and Anastasia Kostetskaya, who have been awarded 2012-2013 Arts and Humanities Graduate Research Small Grants!

Kate White will use her Arts & Humanities Graduate Research Small Grant to defray costs associated with her travel to the meeting of the Second Language Research Forum in Pittsburgh, PA, to be held on October 18-21, 2012.  Kate will be presenting her paper "Whale and Shark or Whale and Apron:  Teaching Foreign Language Vocabulary in Semantic Groups", which is her post-M.A. professional paper.

Anastasia Kostetskaya will also use her Arts & Humanities Graduate Research Small Grant to defray costs associated with travel to the meeting of the Association of Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies in New Orleans, LA in November where she will present her paper "The Water of Life and the Life of Water in Poetry, Art and Film of the Russian Silver Age" at the panel “Liquescence and Fluidity Across Time, Media and Genre," which she both proposed and organized.
