Congratulations to Lejla Veskovic for Winning the Armed Conflicts and Im/mobility Grants Award

Lejla Veskovic

Lejla Veskovic is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Slavic and East European Languages & Cultures, and we welcome you to congratulate her on winning this award!

The Armed Conflicts and Im/Mobility Grant will aid Lejla in funding her project, Russian Mind in the Montenegrin World, which seeks to explore cultural elements that exist within collective identity. This grants seeks to "support graduate students in research and creative work on the topic of the project. The projects will explore the question of what happens to people living through armed conflict or crises."

This research is conducted in association with Festival SlovoNovo, which offers a forum for discussion of Russian culture and identity in the era of the war in Ukraine.

We look forward to seeing Lejla develop her research and develop as a crucial member of the graduate student body at the Department.
