Each year The Ohio State Unversity's Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures initates its outstanding students into Dobro Slovo, the National Slavic Honor Society. Originally found as a local Slavic honorary society at the University of California, Berkeley in 1926, Dobro Slovo expanded in 1963 with the support of the American Association of Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL) to become the National Slavic Honor Society.

This year, at the end-of-year Slavic Tea on May 25, 2012, the Department honored the following people as newly inducted members of the Dobro Slovo National Slavic Honor Society: Anthony Adame, Eric Baize, Kelly Bryant, Ross Martin, Derek Peterson, Kristen Scudieri, Taylor White, and Ciarra Wooten

Prof. Jennifer Suchland, the faculty advisor for Dobro Slovo's OSU chapter, gave the inductees their membership certificates and society pins.

Congratulations to the new Dobro Slovo members!
