Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Congratulations to graduate student Jeff Parker, who has been awarded an Alumni Grant for Graduate Research and Scholarship (AGGRS) from the Graduate School.

Jeff will use the money to defray the costs of collecting data for his dissertation in Russia.

His dissertation, with the working title "Inflectional complexity and lexical access: an experimental study of Russian nouns", brings together independent lines of research on lexical access and typological language complexity to experimentally investigate the relationship between inflectional structure and speakers' cognitive organization of grammatical forms.
