This summer, lecturer and interim language coordinator Marina Pashkova and graduate student Ana Kabakova were awarded a $10,000 seed grant from the University Center for the Advancement of Teaching (UCAT) to develop Russian reading and listening materials. Their work aimed to address the need for a better integration of the I.I.(individualized instruction) program into the ongoing GTA training by the department (including I.I.-specific training, collaborative materials development, exchange of materials, assessment of GTAs and assessment of the program by GTAs etc.). The result is the improvement of both the I.I. curriculum and the GTA support provided by the department.

Congratulations Marina and Ana!
