Three alumni accept academic positions

The Slavic Department is happy to announce that three graduate alumni -- Dusty Wilmes, Kate White, and Anastasia Smirnova -- have accepted new academic positions.

Dusty Wilmes (Ph.D. 2015 in Slavic literature, culture, and film) has accepted a position as Assistant Professor in Russian Studies at Eastern Carolina University.

Kate White (Ph.D. 2015 in Slavic linguistics) has accepted a position as Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication at Rice University.

Anastasia Smirnova (M.A. 2005 in Slavic linguistics) has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Linguistics at San Francisco State University.
