Congratulations to DSEELC graduate students Yuliia Aloshycheva and Jeff Parker, who have been awarded 2012-2013 Arts and Humanities Graduate Research Small Grants!

Yuliia will use her $300 award to travel to the 7th Annual Meeting of the Slavic Linguistics Society in Lawrence, KS at the end of August, where she will present a paper titled "The sociolinguistics of (o) in Ukraine: A perceptual approach".

Jeff will use his $300 award to travel to the American International Morphology Meeting in Amherst, MA in September. He will present two papers at the conference: "Affix-ordering constraints and processing in Russian: A look at Complexity-based Ordering" (co-authored with his advisor, Andrea Sims), and "When simple words are more complicated than we thought" (co-authored with Lauren Ressue, Michael Phelan, and Robert Reynolds).

Well done, Yuliia and Jeff!
