Eileen Kunkler, Assistant Director of the Center for Slavic and East European Studies, will lead a professionalization workshop for the DSEELC's graduate students on "Jobs Outside of Academia". She will give a presentation on careers that a graduate degree in Slavic studies prepares students for, and will offer some practical advice about how to translate academic skills/experiences into what government and other employers are looking for. There will be time for questions.
SEELC graduate students are strongly encouraged to attend this workshop. Since the academic job market is perpetually tight, it is important for students to start preparing early for a range of careers. This workshop is an excellent opportunity to learn about opportunities and requirements.

This event is sponsored by the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures and the Center for Slavic and East European Studies.
