The Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures is pleased to announce that Sunnie has received $15,000 in Departmental Research Grant funding from the ASC Honors Committee to expand scholarship support for Ohio State student participation in the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (REEES) Undergraduate Think Tank.

This award will provide $2,500 scholarships for OSU undergraduates selected to join the national REEES Think Tank cohort. The program is cultivating a new generation of specialists in the field by supporting innovative career pathways, research development, and meaningful relationship‑building across institutions. It also strengthens a nationwide network of university centers, faculty mentors, and undergraduate students—particularly those who are underrepresented or underserved in REEES.

Ohio State’s investment supplements the external funding Sunnie has consistently secured to sustain this important initiative, ensuring that our students can fully participate in the growing national infrastructure and collaborative cohorts forming across the country.
