Guido, Olga, and Roland G. Dartau Scholarship Established

Exterior of Campbell Hall

The Guido, Olga, and Roland G. Dartau Scholarship honors the memory of the Dartau family. Roland Dartau was born in 1931 in Riga, Latvia. He was the son of Olga Mikhailovna Nikolaeva Dartau and Guido Georg Dartau. Roland lived in Latvia, Germany, Oregon, and Columbus, Ohio, where he was a member of the Columbus Latvian Evangelical Church. Also a member of American Mensa, Roland received a master's degree in inorganic chemistry from Oregon State University and was employed at Chemical Abstracts, the Ohio State University, and Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus.

Congratulations to our first recipients: Ekaterina Tikhonyuk, Elizabeth McBean, and Aleksandra Shubina! We are proud of your progress and very grateful to the Dartau family for this legacy that will enable us to award scholarships to graduate students on a yearly basis.
