Russian Language Major Gives "Civil Discourse for Citizenship" Talk as CEHV Civic Discourse Fellow
The SEELC would like to acknowledge and congratulate our very own Russian Major, Tobey Rubin, on becoming a Civil Disourse Fellow for the upcoming Spring 2026 Civil Discourse for Citizenship initiative, hosted by the Center For Ethics and Human Values.
The Civil Discourse Fellows "plan and moderate CEHV's Civil Discourse Forums and serve as ambassadors for civil discourse on campus. Each Civil Discourse Fellow receives a $750 fellowship award and serves from the spring semester when they are accepted through spring semester of the following year," (CEHV Fellows).
Tobey Rubin is a second-year majoring in Economics and Russian on the pre-law track. On campus, he is a research assistant at the Center for Design Manufacturing Excellence, as well as being a University Ambassador. He is also a member of the International Affairs Scholars Program, in which he holds the position of service chair. Additionally, he is a participant of Phi Alpha Delta, Undergraduate Student Government, and the Russian Student Association. Outside of academics, Tobey enjoys painting and playing the bass guitar and cello.
