
The Midwest Slavic Association's annual conference will be held April 5-7, 2013 on the campus of The Ohio State University.
Conference organizers invite proposals for panels or individual papers addressing all disciplines related to Russia, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus. The conference will kick off two days of panels with a keynote address on April 5 by Brian Porter-Szücs (University of Michigan) and a response by Piotr Kosicki on religion and nationalism in Poland and Eastern Europe. This event will be followed by a reception. Saturday, April 6th will feature a luncheon lecture by Irene Delic (Ohio State University). Finally, this year's conference will also feature Between Shots, a series of panels focused on film and visual culture.
