The inaugural meeting of a morphology discussion group will be Monday August 26, 2013 at 4pm. Anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.
The focus of the group will be morphological theory, lexical organization, the interface between morphology and other components of grammar, and the intersection of morphology and other domains (processing, acquisition, language change, ?). Like other similar groups, it will offer the opportunity for students and faculty to present their current research and receive feedback. If there is an open day, we may read and discuss papers.
The group will meet Mondays, 10:30a-11:30a, in Hagerty 406. Meetings will be roughly every *two* weeks, on the following dates: August 26, September 9, September 16, September 30, October 14, October 28, November 4, November 25.
To receive information about future meetings, email the organizer, Andrea Sims, to get on the mailing list.
