Congratulations to Dr. Yana Hashamova, who has been named Leadership Faculty Fellow and Mentor of the six Graduate Team Fellows as part of the Global Arts and Humanities Society of Fellows program for 2026-27. This year’s theme “Cultures in Motion” practically had her name on it!

 While performing her GA+H duties, Yana will also be working this coming year on her new book project, From Totalitarian Legacies to Populist Futures: Western Prejudices, the Politics of Belonging, and the Case of Post-socialist Bulgarian Diaspora.
