The Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures extends our warmest congratulations to our Ph.D. student, Sofia Bachman!

Sofia continues to be an integral part of the Slavic Department as a student, instructor, and colleague. Having received the Fulbright U.S. Student Program Open Study/Research Award, Sofia will research feminist and queer performances and activism at the University of Łódź in Poland in 2024-2025.
