The Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures is thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Dmitry Arzyutov to our faculty! Dr. Arzyutov comes to Ohio State from the History, Culture and Communication unit of the University of Oulu (Finland). After completing his dissertation, Reassembling the Environmental Archives of the Cold War: Perspectives from the Russian North, at KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), Dr. Arzyutov held multiple research and fellowship positions at numerous institutions across Europe.

At Ohio State, Dr. Arzyutov will develop undergraduate and graduate courses centered around his research in indigenous Siberian studies.
