Professor Hongor Oulanoff (1929-2010) was one of the founding professors of the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures at The Ohio State University, where he served from 1963 until his retirement in 1991.

Once a semester, the Department of Slavic and Eastern European Languages and Cultures hosts our beloved Slavic Talent Show, also known as Kapustnik, where undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty are invited to show off their skills and special talents
